<title>Leadership Lessons to Include All Girls Trainings (Andover): Apr 01, 2010</title>
		<link>http://www.girlscoutseasternmass.org/Volunteer/search.html?id=7453</link>
<description>Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts and Partners for Youth with Disabilities have partnered under a grant from the Include All Girls Initiative to provide free training for GSEM volunteers!Include All Girls Trainings Include:Adapting Badges (Try-It&amp;rsquo;s, Interest Projects) for girls with developmental disabilities Tips for including girls with Autism Spectrum Disorders in Girl Scout program Responding to challenging behaviors from an ADD/ADHD perspective Involving every girl in Girl Scout leadership in your troop from a communications perspectiveChances are every GSEM volunteer works with at least one girl or an adult with a disability. Some disabilities are easy to see, others are not. Some disabilities are easy to ask questions about and accommodate, others are harder to talk about, and complicated to accommodate. Knowing more about what to ask, what to offer and ways to engineer environments and activities makes it easier to include every girl, not just girls with disabilities. This training will give you the vocabulary, techniques, and the knowledge you need to empower your Girl Scouts and to better Include All Girls in Girl Scouts. This training is open to all volunteers, and to Girl Scout Ambassadors.
Special Focus: Addressing challenging behaviors in girls with disabilities.</description>
