Troop Camping Skills - Lodge (Waltham)
Completion of this Course will allow you to take your troop camping in cabins or lodges and attend town-wide encampments or Brownie Camping in lodges. A lodge is any building with a stove and flush toilets.
Learn how girls can plan and carry out a camping trip using the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. You will learn ways to help girls discover, connect, and take action while planning and participating in an overnight camping experience. Menu and meal planning, tips for packing, safety and risk management and program activities will be covered. Take this course 6-8 weeks prior to your camping trip in order to involve the girls in the planning process. Pre-course work is required and will be sent to you in your confirmation. Please note: a First Aider and a separate Troop Camping-trained person are required for all camping trips. CPR/FA instruction is not part of this session.
