Cookie for a Cause

More than 1,500 Girl Scouts came out in full force for a massive Girl Scout cookie drop and rally at Hanscom Air Force Base to deliver 30,000 donated boxes of Girl Scout cookies to the troops serving overseas. The Girl Scouts spoke with Airmen, Soldiers and Marines and made cards for soldiers to go with the cookies. Cards from Girl Scout troops to military troops represent comfort and a piece of home to military away from home. Our partner, Dunkin’ Donuts, donate 1,000 pounds of coffee to accompany the Girl Scout cookies. Hanscom Air Force Base Chief Master Sergeant Kenneth A. Williams addressed the Girl Scouts on the merits of their hard work and how much the troops appreciate the Girl Scout cookies.
