| Dorothy Aghai | Dot Aghai founded, owns and manages McCormack Associates, a property management firm in New Bedford. She has been a member of Girl Scouts for 44 years, 12 of which were spent as a troop volunteer. She co-chaired the Southeastern Massachusetts council’s Environmental Discovery Center campaign, building a $1M facility and funding $2M program property endowment. Dot is a member of and has served in several committee positions at Tiffereth Israel Synagogue in New Bedford. She earned a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. She resides in Dartmouth. | |
| Patricia Beckwith | Patricia is a Certified Financial Planner for Raymond James Financial Services in Beverly. She is Secretary for the Kiwanis Club of Beverly and a member of the Essex County Estate Planning Council. Patricia enjoys gardening, her two Siberian Huskies and power boating. She was a Girl Scout as a child. | |
| Maryann Civitello | Maryann Civitello is a member of the Boston office of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, PC, where she practices in the Real Estate section, representing a national pharmacy chain in property acquisition and development in 23 states. Prior to this, she represented clients in the acquisition and development of affordable housing, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and golf courses. Before her law career, Maryann taught American and European History at St. John's University and Rivier College. She was Dean of the School of Continuing Education and Chair of the Department of History, Political Science and Paralegal Studies at Rivier. She earned a BA from Albertus Magnus College, an MA and a PhD in American History from Fordham University, and a JD, magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School. She resides in Newton. | |
| Pat Romeo-Gilbert | Pat Romeo-Gilbert has a professional background in project management, quality assurance, strategic planning, training and organizational development. She earned a BS at St. Lawrence University, where she has been a member of the Alumni Council. Pat has also served on various boards and committees, including a merger planning committee for her church. She has substantial volunteer experience in fund development. Pat has been a girl and then adult member of Girl Scouts for over 20 years. She has served in numerous volunteer capacities for the organization, including as a troop leader and as Town Coordinator, and has been a member of several council committees. She resides in Lexington. | |
| Deborah Heller | Deborah Heller is a partner in HellerCunningham, a management consulting firm offering fresh perspectives on strategy and operations to energize small and large companies in a changing market. She is an experienced public speaker and author of several books and articles. Deborah is a founder of the New England Women’s Fund. She has chaired the boards of directors of New England Women’s Fund and the Fenway Health Center. She is currently Vice-Chair for Women Entrepreneurs in Science and Technology and a member of the Advisory Board for Stonebridge, Inc. Deborah has received formal recognition for her professional and service contributions by Girl Scouts, Patriots’ Trail Council, the Fenway Community Health Center and The Boston Club. She earned a Master’s and Doctorate at Boston College and an undergraduate degree at Smith College. | |
| Jane Howard | Jane Howard is co-founder of Howard/Stein-Hudson Associates, a transportation consulting firm that encourages the professional development of women and minorities in the transportation industry. For 17 years, Jane has led the firm’s growth to a staff of 45 who provide traffic engineering, municipal and regional planning, roadway design, civil engineering, public involvement, and land development and institutional planning for clients around the US. HSH has received awards for its planning and engineering work and formal recognition as an exemplary woman-owned employer. Jane is widely published and a frequent speaker in national venues. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in Community Planning from the University of Rhode Island. | |
| Jane Puffer | Jane Puffer has over 20 years of experience in the information technology industry. Currently, she is President of Dreamaker Marketing Consulting Group, which provides market intelligence and designs strategy, business plans and marketing programs for high tech entrepreneurs. Previously, she was Vice President of Marketing at Integrated Development Enterprise and held marketing management and product development positions at Digital Equipment Corp. Jane holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State University and a Master’s in Administration from Boston University. She was Chair of the Leading Women event for Girl Scout Council of Southeastern Massachusetts. She resides in Acton and Marion. | |
| Suellen Robinson | Suellen Robinson is a Professor of Mathematics at North Shore Community College. She has been an active member of and volunteer for Girl Scouts for 43 years, as a neighborhood administrator, leader, organizer, consultant, trainer and Delegate to Constituency. She has been a Confraternity of Christian Doctrine teacher for 13 years. Suellen has a Doctorate in Mathematics Education and is a consultant to the Museum of Science. She resides in Andover. | |
| Vilma Thompson | Vilma Thompson is a Risk Manager for Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. Previously, she held senior management positions in audits and finance for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of RI, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, John Hancock Financial Services, Polaroid Corporation, State Street Boston Corporation and Rockland Federal Credit Union. She is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Health Care Compliance Association, the Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors, the Risk and Insurance Management Society and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Ms. Thompson has served on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Conference, United Church of Christ (the largest Protestant denomination in Massachusetts), as Chair of its Finance Committee, and in several other capacities locally, statewide and nationally. She is soon to be Vice Chair of the Justice and Witness Ministries and is Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee and a member of its Executive Council. Vilma earned a Master’s degree in Business and Finance from Simmons College School of Management, and a BS in Accounting from Northeastern University. She is a resident of Raynham. | |
