Who are Daisies?
Daisies are the youngest members of Girl Scouts. They are eager to explore the world around them and have fun along the way. The Daisy program is an introduction to the Girl Leadership Experience.
Daisy Meetings and Patches
A typical Daisy meeting consists of games, songs, crafts and more, including attending council programs.
Daisies can earn petal patches to wear on their uniform tunic. Each petal represents a part of the Girl Scout Law, like respect, honesty, helpfulness and caring. They earn the center for learning the Girl Scout Promise. Girls learn these concepts cooperatively, so they make new friends and try new things together.
As a Daisy, you might ...
- Make holiday cards for a senior center
- Go to the theatre or the circus
- Have a Daisy pen-pal in town
- Attend Council and community programs and meet other Daisies and older Girl Scouts
- Participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Sale, the world's premiere financial literacy program for girls
- Learn to travel in a group, on short trips in town
- Create arts and crafts projects
- Plant and take care of a simple garden
- Plan a picnic and make snacks
- Work together to accomplish simple tasks
- Make decisions through discussion and voting
Daisy Journeys
Girl Scout Journeys are leadership programs that enable girls to plan and make decisions even at the Daisy level. The first was introduced in 2008, and the second will come in Fall 2009.
It's Your World - Change It!
Daisies learn about Girl Scout history and traditions through an adventure starring Amazing Daisy. The program involves gardening, a perennial favorite of girls at this level.

How to Join
Joining Girl Scouts is lots of fun and a great way to learn new things, make friends, and develop leadership skills. Girls in grades K-12 and adults can join Girl Scouts any time during the year.
