We offer fun, hands-on learning -- an enrichment experience that meets girls' needs. Girl Scouts offers innovative program activities, events and camps for girls of all interests, all year.
Camp and Outdoor Program
Camping and outdoor activities are still a favorite for girls at every age. In the summer, we offer the opportunity to attend one of our 14 camps. Throughout the year, troops can camp in lodges and tents, learn outdoor and survival skills, and discover nature.
THE LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
Girls want to be the kind of leader who "stands up for her beliefs and values," and "tries to change the world for the better." The Girl Scout Leadership Experience is inclusive and empowering, encouraging experiential and cooperative learning.
The highest achievement in Girl Scouting is the Gold Award, which recognizes girls who plan and execute Take Action projects in response to pressing community needs.
LEADERSHIP & SELF ESTEEM
Through activities that build self-confidence, creative decision-making skills and teamwork, girls develop real-world leadership abilities that will last them a lifetime. By working toward earned awards, girls set goals and build team spirit and communication skills.
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
Whether learning about endangered wildlife, planning recycling projects or working toward awards like the Environmental Health Badge and Eco-Action Interest Project Patch, girls focus on conservation and the well-being of our planet for future generations.
FINANCIAL LITERACY
Through activities like the Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program, girls learn to manage money, increase their income, become responsible consumers, create and follow a budget, build and manage credit, and save and invest for whatever's next.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
Girl Scouts build the skills they need to keep their bodies healthy, their minds engaged and their spirits alive through participation in innovative wellness programs, and by talking with leaders about issues of concern in their lives.
SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY & MATH
Girl Scouts develop science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills to use in everyday life. These activities introduce them to women who are successful in science and technology careers, inspiring girls to consider careers in these exciting fields in the future.
DIVERSITY INITIATIVE
Girl Scouts embraces diversity in race, ethnicity, religion, socio-economic status, sexual orientation and opinion. With community partners, we offer science, technology, engineering, math, leadership, life skills, health and fitness programs.
