ABOUT CAMP
Camp Pennacook at the Center is located in Rowley, MA. For 45 years, girls have spent their summers here swimming, making new friends and singing around the campfire. Girls can explore ecology and wildlife, creative arts and traditional Girl Scout program and challenge themselves on a ropes course.

Typical Day
Each day girls begin with an opening Flag Ceremony and announcements. Campers then proceed to enjoy fun activities which include arts & crafts, swimming, fun sports, adventure ropes course and working on various Girl Scout badges and awards. The girls end their day with singing and a closing Flag Ceremony. More about a typical day at camp (PDF)

About the Director

Jennifer van Buren has been involved with Girl Scout camping for over 9 years. In the off season she works for Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts as a Program Specialist. She is returning for her second year as Camp Director at Camp Pennacook at the Center.

From the South : Take I-95 North toward Salisbury/Portsmouth, NH. Take exit 54B toward Georgetown. Turn right onto Tenney St then right onto Jewett St, which becomes Wethersfield St. End at 390 Wethersfield St.
From the North: Take I-95 South toward Peabody/Boston. Take exit 55, Central St, toward Byfield. Turn left onto Central St and stay straight to go onto School St. Turn left onto Elm St. Turn right onto Coleman Rd, which becomes Glen St. Turn right onto Hillside St, then left onto Wethersfield St. End at 390 Wethersfield St.What to Bring to Camp
Each day campers need to bring a small backpack that they can easily carry with the following: a non-perishable
lunch, drink, water bottle, bathing suit and towel. All items must be labeled with the camper's first and last name. Girls should wear play clothes, socks and sneakers each day, sunscreen, lip balm and insect repellent. If inclement weather is predicted, please bring a rain coat and/or a sweatshirt. For safety reasons campers should not wear sandals, flip flops, crocs or heeleez. Visit the Girl Scout Shop for camping essentials!
