Volunteer Program	Basic Troop Camping Intro and Overnight

Date and Location	All Intros are 9:00a-5:00p. All overnights are 11:00a first day to 11:00a second day. You must register for an Intro and Overnight listed together. Description	Experienced volunteer camp trainers will introduce you to a variety of camping skills including: dressing for the weather, safety and risk management, reserving and caring for council camp sites, fire building and outdoor cooking. The course fee includes your meal, snacks and supplies for the day. Bring a bandana or hat and a mess kit or unbreakable dinnerware, and dress for the weather. Outdoor training is done out-of-doors! You will cook your lunch as part of your training. On the overnight camping experience, you will work in patrols established during the Intro Course, to put the skills you learned there into practice. You will receive more training and program instruction to be shared with girls in the out-of-doors. Basic Troop Camping Intro training is required if you want to cook, build fires or use cook stoves with a troop. Full Troop Camper Certification is required for overnights including camping and extended trips. You must attend the entire training in order to get credit for the course. Please be on time and dress for the weather. Lunch will be provided. Volunteer trainers will contact you before the courses with a packing list.
