Description

Girl Scouts love to visit the Museum of Science in Boston for an overnight of fun and learning. This famous institution was a pioneer in hands-on museum design and among the first to bring science down to earth in a way that is easily understood. These special overnight programs inspire children in an entertaining, educational, and interactive way. A typical Camp-In includes a variety of hands-on science activities, science demo, an Omni show, a late night program, and plenty of time to explore the museum.

Adjustments in registration numbers can be made up until the final payment date. Until then, decreases will be accepted, and additional girls may be added if space is available. Once final payment is made, there can be no refunds or credits.  Since this is such a popular program, priority is given to those troops and groups who did not have a chance to participate in the past year.

Program assistants: Girl Scouts age 14 and older can sometimes attend a Camp-In as a program assistant. Program assistants help the museum staff with science workshops and other activities.

Adult liaisons: One volunteer is needed to be the liaison between the council and the museum for each date. Liaisons arrive at the museum 30 minutes early, check in troops, direct troops to activities and problem-solve with museum staff if needed. They spend most of the time with their troop at the Camp-In. The fee is waived for liaisons.

Fee $45 per girl, $40 per adult, PAs free.  Payment terms differ; use both contacts below for details.  Dates above are pooled from reservations made by legacy councils.
