A typical overnight (5:00pm - 11:00am) includes a science workshop, drop-in science activities, live animals, a late-night show, a planetarium show, an Omni film, and plenty of time to explore the museum. Price per person includes snack, breakfast, a come-back coupon, and a participation patch. On-site parking is only $5 until noon. We will have professional animal handlers that will offer educational demonstrations, resources and activities to help you to inspire great support for animals in your community.  There will be several live animals on site to help teach about how you can make a difference in an animal’s life.   In order to “walk the talk,” we sincerely ask that you contribute at least one “fresh” bagged or canned type of pet food to the event. We will start with skill building drills and information workshops in three distinct areas:  How to Kayak in a stright line! How to Run with fun! and learn the benefits of Agility (balance and strength training) exercises.  The last hour and half of the program will culminate in the first ever Girl Scout triathlon event  (.7 mile kayak on the lake,  a .5 mile  agility obstacle course and a 1 mile run). Participants will choose to be on relay teams or do all three elements individually - and even opt to be on the sidelines to give others much needed support.  No experience neccessary!</description>

		<description>The Asian Long-Horn Beetle and Emerald Ash Borer are wreaking havoc on the trees in some Massachusetts neighborhoods.  It's time for you to Take Action and Be a Beetle Detective.  Families will learn how to identify these insects and their damage.  Girls will go back to their own neighborhoods and continue the search and log their findings on the state's Beetle Detective website.  This is an excellent side trip to the Journey Series &quot;It's Your Planet Love it!&quot;  Beetle Detective Patch Included.
