Winter Hiking Series (Waltham) Cancelled

Are you ready for a winter FULL of adventures? Come learn about hiking, camping, nature, and the outdoors in the winter. In this new series girls will learn how to dress for cold weather, snowshoe and hiking techniques, outdoor cooking skills, winter camping and much more. We will put our skills to the test by heading out for an overnight hiking trip and hike to a cabin in New Hampshire for an overnight adventure. Girls will need to participate in at least 7 of the 8 sessions before the hiking trip in order to attend the overnight. Sessions are from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM on 1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/28, 3/7. The overnight is on March 8-10, 2013. Girls will need warm, outdoor clothing to participate in this series. More information regarding specific clothing items will be given to all participants. Cost includes all program supplies for each session as well as food, lodging, supplies, and transportation to and from Waltham, MA for the overnight. This is a drop off series and adults do not need to stay and attend.
