Bramson and share their perspectives for the future. These 20 girl leaders are members of the new Girl Scouts of Eastern Mass CEO/Girl Advisory Committee. They met for the first time to share their ideas about Girl Scouts and their suggestions for where the new council should focus to recruit more girls and to meet the needs and expectations of girls today. The girls shared that they like Girl Scouting because it offers opportunities to do community service, meet new people, and have fun. They suggested we emphasize these themes in our recruitment. The girls, who came from throughout our service area, each applied to be members of Ruth’s new “cabinet” of girl advisors and will meet every other month throughout the year. Emma is a 7th grade student at Barnstable Middle School and has been a proud Girl Scout for seven years.
