For over twenty years, Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts has been proud to partner with Raytheon Technologies (RTX), whose generosity has helped us provide top tier STEM programming to our youth members. This year, for the first time ever, we were invited to host our Annual STEM Challenge event at the Museum of Science in Boston.
Girl Scouts from eastern Massachusetts explored the museum’s various exhibits while completing a scavenger hunt and were invited into a private room to participate in an intergalactic hands-on activity. Finally, each group finished out their day with a trip to the OMNI theatre for a special viewing of an educational film.
While the Girl Scouts were off having fun with our staff and RTX volunteers, their families were invited to explore the museum on their own. Each Girl Scout participant was provided with four museum tickets and free parking, which made this experience accessible and fun for the whole family. Over 160 Girl Scout Juniors and 115 Girl Scout Cadettes participated in this wonderful day of STEM exploration, which would not have been possible without the generous contributions from RTX and the hard work of all GSEMA staff involved.
